Values

1. Bible-based: It is crucial to have the objective Word of God as the standard for all facets of church life, including its purpose, government, teaching and discipline. The church today needs a renewal of scriptural truth applied to personal life, as the subtle influences of our society attempt to replace the Divine Creator with the Human Creation.

2. Spirit-filled: The Holy Spirit must be the leader of our ‘here and now’ activity in the church. This includes spontaneity of worship, the operation of spiritual gifts, and the experience of the presence and power of God. Especially important to us is listening to the Lord for guidance vs. depending on mere human strategies.

3. Family-centered: Marriages need encouragement. Children need attention. The family needs nurture. Because of these desperate needs in our society, we encourage spending quality and quantity time together as family units. Worshipping and ministering together as a family is a priority. In addition, because of our care for each other as brothers and sisters in Christ, the general feel of the church is family.

4. Relationally-oriented: As an extension of the family-centered emphasis, a significant goal is the establishment of relational connections in group and one-on-one contexts. These relationships enhance discipleship and further God’s kingdom in and through the church.

5. Team-built: The opportunity for team-ship in ministry is a paramount feature of our life together. Not only is there a plurality of leaders as in the New Testament, but many ministry teams serve in and through the church.

6. Evangelistically-focused: Someone said, “The church is the only institution founded for the benefit of its non-members.” Of course, as members, we do benefit from fellowship together. But, the purpose of the church is bigger than fellowship. It is to permeate the world with Christ and His kingdom. If the church fails to maintain a vision beyond itself, then the church has failed to be the church.
