Discovering Kids Point
Sunday Mornings!
We're so glad you're considering joining us. Stop by our Kids Point Welcome Center located on the south side of the church lobby to get classroom information and let us know you're here. We would like you to fill out some information about your children and a volunteer will be there to help you locate where each of your children will be cared for and taught during the service.
At LCF, children enjoy worshiping with their families for the first few minutes of the service so we can experience worship together as a church family. These ten minutes together help the children learn to worship by watching as worship is modeled by adults. The children are then dismissed to their classes for their own worship time followed by age-appropriate lessons.
Each classroom has dedicated adults and teen volunteers ready to greet your child and get to know them and you as a family. Our awesome volunteers have a passion to see all of our children become Spiritual Champions with a vital, and growing, relationship with God the Father through Jesus Christ. Creative and biblically-based lessons are prepared with active games and crafts to reinforce learning and help you lay the strong spiritual foundation they need. This time also includes connecting with other children and prayer. Most of our volunteers do serve on a full time basis. This provides consistency and helps develop meaningful relationships with your children.
Our Kids Point kids have their own special wing that is decorated especially for them. Each room is specifically designed to show children something important about God. These rooms are age appropriate with special features to welcome the children in, catch their eye and provide a fun, colorful environment.
If our youngest little ones who are staying in the service with a parent become fussy, we'd like to suggest use of our Mother/Baby Room located in the hallway of the Multi-Purpose Area next to the kitchen. Mothers are invited to use this space for feeding their infant or to just for a quiet place for their child. The room does have two-way glass and speaker so you will not miss the service. In order to give our moms privacy, dads are requested to use the church lobby or the Multi-Purpose Area if they need to take a baby out of the service There is a speaker in the lobby, and a live-feed set up in the Multi-Purpose Area so you will be able to listen to the service.
In each of our services, our babies (3-18 months) receive wonderful and loving care in their own special space called His New Creations Room, located in the Multi-Purpose Area of our campus, across from the Mother/Baby Room. Toddlers (19 months-two year olds) have their own special classroom space called The Garden Room, located in the Kids Point Wing. While in this classroom, they will have a specially designed, hands-on toddler curriculum with songs and fingerplays, as well as time for free play with our great volunteers.
Due to the variation in the number of children attending each service, our class locations do change for the three year olds - 5th graders depending on which service you attend. For correct information based on the time of your visit, please visit our Kids Point Welcome Center or look for signs outside the classrooms.
In each of our services, our Preschool age children, as well as, our Early Elementary children enjoy wonderful classes tailored to help them learn about Jesus in the unique way that their specific age learns best. They will enjoy story-time, crafts, games, singing and active play in our classes located in the Kids Point Wing.
During our 10:00am service, our 2nd graders - 5th graders are split into two age level classes with a discipleship-based teaching curriculum. Our volunteers do a great job bringing the Word to life through Bible lessons, prayer times, service projects, crafts, games and worship. Our 2nd and 3rd graders meeting the Lighthouse Room located in the Kids Point Wing. Our 4th and 5th graders have their own unique classroom spaces - Crosswalk and The Abode designed especially for them at our Church House, which is right across the parking lot from our Children's Wing. The 4th and 5th graders line up in the church lobby when they are dismissed from the service and they are safely escorted to their Church House class by an adult or high school assistant and they will meet their parents back in the church lobby after service concludes.
During our 8:30am and 11:30am services, 2nd - 5th graders meet together in the Lighthouse Room. Their time includes worship, puppetry, drama, lessons, games and snacks. Their curriculum called Firm Foundations takes them through the Bible learning how each portion of Scripture relates to Christ.
LCF's own kids band (Word Out!) and puppet/drama team (Hands Up!) demonstrate God's word to serve the LCF children. Shepherds lead small group times to develop those vital relationships with the children, review the lesson and have prayer time together.
