This three-year discipleship program is designed to help our LCF kids and their friends to Know, Grow, Serve and Share our Lord Jesus.

We meet weekly on Tuesdays throughout the school year, developing relationships with other believers and leaders through worship, games, studies and service.  Service projects are done throughout the year at nursing homes and homeless shelters in the Kansas City area.  The final act of service is a mission trip at the end of the third year that is tailored to meet the needs of that year's class.

Our first mission trip in June, 2004, was to Juarez, Mexico where we joined Youth With A Mission (YWAM) to serve through learning and leading Spanish worship, Spanish puppet skits, dramas, service projects, and prayer.  What an amazing experience!

Mission trip 2005 allowed the kids to use all that they have learned over the last three years to trust the Lord in serving Him at Vero Beach, Florida through Christian Outreach International (COI).  This particular class had a heart for the younger kids, therefore, this trip was tailored so they could serve the migrant children through worship, puppets, drama and service.

Mission Trips 2006 and 2007 were to Moss Point, Mississippi, where the kids brought a message of hope and encouragement to the people of this area who were affected by Hurricane Katrina.  TruthSeekers and their families traveled to Temple Baptist Church and served at a women's drug and alcohol rehab center (Home of Grace), a men's drug and alcohol rehab center (Mercy House), and assisted Temple Baptist with their VBS.  Yard clean up and landscaping was done at the homes of elderly affected by the hurricane.

Mission Trips 2008 and 2009 brought us to the Appalachians in Corbin, Kentucky.  We joined with Youth On Mission (YOM) to serve at government housing projects conducting Back Yard Bible clubs and we worked at a homeless shelter, where we did renovation projects and fixed dinner for them every night.    We also did a Wednesday church service that ministered to a small church in the community, sharing worship, dramas and testimonies.  The experience brought the kids closer to Christ and affected the adults as well.  Everyone realized that they could do more than they thought through Christ's strength!

Mission Trip 2010 the Lord led us to assist a true servant of our Lord Jesus in Chicago, Il.  We met Ms. Pearl and her kids at the Roseland Community Good News Day Care Center.  Do check out her web site!  33 TruthSeekers and 22 adults made the trek by train to serve at the day care and area churches and day care centers with dramas they learned, VBS and work projects.  What a joy to watch the kids give of themselves no matter what the task or how the plans changed!  Everyone learned through Ms. Pearl's kindness and grace to anybody that needed it the love of Jesus Christ!
